- How much will a Premium Review cost?
The service is provided on a ‘No Win – No Fee’ basis. If there is an opportunity found, then a commission rate is charged to the client as a percentage of the overpaid Premium being refunded.
Following a successful submission and outcome, we request that your Insurer send the refund amount back to you by way of cheque and you will only pay the commission once you have received your cheque. Therefore, there are no out of pocket expenses associated to the Premium Review Service.
A Fee For Service is charged for Premium services other than Premium Reviews.

- How long does a Premium Review take to complete?
Usually no more than an hour or two of your time onsite or remotely with your designated WorkCover personnel.
The work performed by Optima WorkCover Solutions subsequent to the meeting can take anywhere from a few hours or more of our own time to complete the Review.
We ensure that that the whole process for our clients is made efficient and any requests for further information are clear so that the client understands what is required.
- My Review has found a refund benefit. How long before I receive my refund?
Generally, once the submission has been lodged and updated by the Insurer, the results are conveyed to Optima. These results are then communicated to you.
Optima formally requests that the refund be issued back to you. Once the request has been placed with your Insurer, it takes anywhere between 10-15 working days to receive your cheque in the mail.
- Can Optima WorkCover Solutions be my WorkCover Insurer?
No, we are not an Insurer. However, under Appointment, we can act for you in any WorkCover matter in liaison with your Insurer, WorkCover Authorities and any external providers relevant to your WorkCover matters.
- How often should I review my Premium with Optima WorkCover Solutions?
At a minimum, every three years for small to medium size businesses, every two years for larger businesses and organisations.
- We have received a WorkCover Audit or Self-Assessment. Can Optima assist?
Yes, we can assist in the completion of the Questionnaire and give guidance on the whole process prior to the Audit outcome.
Any subsequent Audit or Self-Assessment outcome can also be taken on by us where the outcome is detrimental to your Premium.
